Established in 1965, Corbelli’s Little Italy Deli is quite literally a hidden classic. Initially opened in Wolverhampton in 1965 it has since been moved to its current location in Willenhall, where it’s been since 1980.
Run by Giovani Corbelli and his sons Guiseppe and Pietro, Little Italy Deli is easy to find via sat-nav and is most certainly worth the trip!
Open on Saturdays from 10am till 2pm and Sundays 10am to 1.30pm, Corbelli’s offers a vast range of the finest Italian foods and wines unavailable in the mainstream supermarkets.
As soon as you enter this Aladdins Cave you are greeted by the friendly staff and a beautiful musty smell that seeps from the huge wine vats around the walls.
Everything about this shop is ‘Little Italy’. If you happen to visit on a Saturday you will also be greeted by the smell of freshly baked Italian bread which is prepared every Saturday morning as well being surrounded by beautiful pasta’s, meats, cheeses and much more!
When asked where a lovely, cold-pressed olive oil came from Guiseppe replied ‘that oil comes from my aunts olive groves in Sicily’. As well as the olive oils, meat and pastas, you’ll find on offer bottled anchovies, preserved aubergines, huge parmesan cheeses and so much more.
The Family business also includes Corbelli Wines who have been making wine since 1965 with hundreds of wines available at the Deli in addition to the vast range of foods.
Perhaps one of the best things about this exceptional place is it’s affordable pricing, less than supermarkets and with the advantage of superior quality and originality.
Overall they provide excepional authentic Italian cuisine in a real traditional family run Italian ambiance. This is not just popping to the supermarket for some parmesan, this is an experience – and it’s one that nobody should miss out on!
